• About Sandra Milstein-Ostrom

    LMFT #121126

I have over 15 years of experience working with adults, couples, families and children.  I specialize in treating weight management, insomnia, disordered eating, substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues.  My passion is helping people build a better life.

I have overcome many of my own challenges, ranging from overeating, depression, anxiety, substance use, and helping family members with special needs.  I believe my lived experience, along with my education and expertise, put me in a unique position where I can relate to you, and also help you reach your goals and potential.

I am trained in and utilize CBT, ACT, DBT, CBT-I, and Gottman Couple’s Therapy.

I am originally from Mexico City and can provide therapy in both English and Spanish. At age twelve, I moved to San Diego and then completed my education at University of California at San Diego, California School of Professional Psychology, and Brandman University. I  am married, have two wonderful sons, and a shepherd mix dog.  During my free time I enjoy hiking, tennis, playing with my dog, and reading a good book.

I look forward to meeting you, so we can work together to make your life better!
